“I started in the fitness industry in my early 20s and became a fitness instructor working in a health farm. I then went on to train as a sports therapist doing sports massage. I was introduced to Pilates at Olney Pilates Studio and I became a regular client. I also found that Pilates was unique to any other exercise class that I had done and that is what inspired me to train to become a qualified Pilates teacher all those years ago! In September 2022, when Heather announced she would like to retire and sell, Pip and I decided to buy it and now the new chapter begins! So far so good and we are loving every minute of it!”

“I originally trained as a secondary teacher, I am a mother of 3 who has been practicing Pilates for best part of 25 years. I started Pilates because I loved exercise, but repeatedly suffered from a painful back. Pilates made such a profound difference to my life (reducing pain levels and making me feel strong, supple and with a sense of well-being ) that when I had my 2nd child I decided to train to become a Pilates teacher.
That was 15 years ago and I have been teaching ever since and have now also qualified as a Yoga Teacher! My pilates training at The Michael King Pilates Institute in London has enabled me to share the fabulous benefits of Pilates with many people from all walks of life – and I have had experience of working with the young, old, able-bodied and injured not to mention helping many women through their pregnancy and post-natal recovery. I welcome the opportunity to meet new faces and new bodies as I continue to practice and learn through this wonderful discipline.
I am machine trained so also welcome clients for private machine lessons (or mat privates) at Olney Pilates Studio”

“Coming from the hospitality industry and training to be a dance fitness instructor, I took up Pilates classes in 2013 after having my 2 children. What a difference it made! It was my hour….just for me. I became stronger, fitter and fell in love with it. Pilates really made me think about how the body moves and what a difference it makes when you become conscious of moving correctly and keeping your body strong. I decided to train and become a teacher through Body Control Pilates and under the wing of Heather, and qualified in 2020. I am so looking forward to helping others achieve their goals of feeling their best”

I originally qualified as a dietitian and later moved into IT. Following a back injury in 2004 I was recommended Pilates by my physiotherapist. Shortly after, I decided to change career completely and become a Pilates teacher, qualifying with Body Control Pilates in 2006.
I had back surgery with Mr Birch and neck surgery with Mr Cadoux-Hudson and know how important Pilates was in my recovery. My experience has given me an even deeper understanding of how to help people with back and neck pain.
I am a very passionate Pilates teacher, bringing with me a wealth of knowledge on a personal and professional level. I have undertaken specialist training in Bone Health, Pilates for Pregnancy and, with my love for horses and riding, a specialist course on Pilates for Equestrians

I’ve been in the fitness world for 20 years now, with a special love for Pilates. What really drives me is seeing people get stronger, more confident, and more in tune with their bodies. For me, movement isn’t just about getting fit, it’s a way to connect with yourself, feel better in your own skin and boost your overall wellbeing.
My classes are upbeat and varied. I love to use props to keep classes interesting and progressive.
Outside the studio, I am a personal trainer and nutrition coach. My nutrition coaching removes the noise and fads, making your nutrition simple with evidence-based principles – www.judecoach.com

I am a busy wife and mum of two teenage girls, and understand the importance of finding a healthy balance in everyday life. As a Level 3 Mat Pilates Instructor and Level 3 Personal Trainer, I’m passionate about helping people move better, feel stronger, and build confidence through movement.
My approach focuses on mobility, posture, core strength, and functional movement, using the Principle of Pilates to improve flexibility, body awareness, and overall wellbeing. I create welcoming, supportive classes that are accessible to all levels, whether clients are new to Pilates, returning from injury, or looking to build strength and move with greater ease.
Alongside personal Training and teaching Pilates I am also a trained Boxercise instructor. I have also competed in many fitness competitions such as HYROX and DEKA, all of which reinforce my belief in the value of consistent, sustainable movement. My goal is to help every client leave class feeling stronger, more balanced, capable and empowered in their daily life.

“I started as a P.E. teacher in the early 70’s and by the early 80’s started to teach in a Special School. I never thought of any other career until I found Pilates!
I came across Pilates in 1998 by reading an article by Body Control Pilates in the Daily Telegraph and it took me back to my P.E roots as a teacher, regarding posture, alignment, kinesiology and it just made sense. I took it up as a hobby, travelling to London at weekends for workshops with Body Control and I was hooked! At the time I was a Deputy Head of a Special School and also was lecturing in Special Needs. After much deliberation I decided to ‘up’ my lecturing, leave my job as Deputy Head and follow my passion and train as a Body Control Pilates teacher. I qualified in January 2001 and after a year dropped my lecturing to concentrate on Pilates. This has been the best decision I have ever made. Improving the quality of peoples lives and seeing clients grow stronger is an amazing feeling. In September 2022 I sold my business to Donna Robinson and Pip McLaggan but I will continue with my private teaching at the studio so I’m never far away!

“Absolutely NOT a pilates teacher but lover of all things admin and OPS! My background is an eclectic mix Army, MOD, painting and decorating, administration and mother – and not necessarily in that order! I worked for Heather for many years helping out with the studio and then in September 2022, after Heather decided to retire, I went into business with Donna and we are now loving every minute of this next chapter. Working at OPS is an absolute joy and such a happy place to work with the most wonderful clients and I especially like my hour in class each week if I can get a space!”
